Alongside renovations to the historic David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium, the University of Kansas is transforming its northern campus entrance with the development of a new multi-use Gateway District. This transformative district includes new student housing, retail space, a parking garage, a hotel and conference center, and a new public plaza to enhance student life.

BRV worked with Edgemoor Infrastructure and Real Estate along with Multistudio and the University of Kansas on the design of the Gateway Plaza, developing programming, management, and revenue strategies in order to make the plaza a destination for both KU students and residents of Lawrence.

Construction of the Gateway District is scheduled for completion in Summer 2028.
