In 2020 and 2021, BRV advised the Downtown Akron Partnership (DAP), a special improvement district in Downtown Akron.

BRV assisted on three initiatives: developing programming in Downtown Akron, building DAP’s financial capabilities, and the revitalization of the recently renovated Main Street.

The programming efforts focused on Main Street in the vicinity of Lock 3, which is seen as Downtown Akron’s core. The majority of our work took place during the height of COVID, which presented a special set of challenges. BRV worked with DAP to create new program and event ideas to help reintroduce Downtown Akron to Akronites and to northeastern Ohio. In addition to programming advice, BRV advised on earned revenue, operations, and public space management.
