In 2019, Riverside Investment and Development retained BRV to develop a comprehensive programming plan for a new 1.5-acre public park developed as part of BMO Tower, a commercial tower just south of the historic Union Station at 320 S Canal Street. The West Loop site is positioned to become a world-class amenity for office tenants, a captivating diversion for commuters, and a welcome respite for existing residents. The park is integral to the tenant experience and links the property to the surrounding community. The programming plan features activities that range in scale, attracting audiences from 5 to 500. It includes simple amenities intended to extend the length of an individual’s stay, low-cost daily amenities, weekly classes that feature local instructors and talent, and signature events. BMO Tower welcomed its first tenants in December 2021.
In 2022, BRV was re-engaged by Riverside and property manager CBRE to implement free park programming and help select a manager for the Green at 320. BRV helped shape the programming plan for the public park, which launched upon park opening in June 2022. BRV also participated in the interviewing, selection, and training of the Programming Manager for the park, and continued working with the in-house events team through the rest of the year.
