Matt Jacobs leads the Los Angeles office, where he works on urban park and public space management projects. Matt is also co-managing principal of BLDG Partners, LLC, an opportunistic developer based in Los Angeles that focuses on pedestrian-friendly infill locations. In addition to value-add apartment and office projects, the firm is actively developing small lot residential subdivisions.
Matt previously managed site acquisition, project entitlement, and development activities for Turnberry, Ltd., and for the Urban Infill Group of the Pulte Home Corporation. Matt began his career with University Properties, an investment subsidiary of Yale University.
Matt holds a BA in Urban Studies from Yale University (Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude) and an MBA from Columbia Business School. Matt is a member of the Small Scale Development Council of the Urban Land Institute and a Member of the Academic Affairs Committee of the American Jewish University. From 2012 - 2015, Matt served on the Board of Directors of the California Housing Finance Agency (CalHFA). Matt is a licensed real estate broker in California (BRE #01738260).
