Brett Merriam is a Project Analyst based in the BRV New York office. He is primarily responsible for developing and executing programming plans for multiple public space projects, reviewing architectural designs, marketing, and creating graphics for many of BRV’s projects.
His work with BRV includes Bay Park in Toronto, Canada, for which Brett has developed a schematic programming plan for a new elevated park in the city's downtown; plaza design guidance and program planning for Titletown, a new mixed-use development in Green Bay, Wisconsin; and, High Street Park in Atlanta, Georgia, where Brett worked closely with landscape design firm, OJB, to create an active park in a new mixed-use development. Currently, Brett also develops and operates programming in the Harbor Point district of Stamford, CT. Other projects include concept designs for Hamilton Green in White Plains, NY and programming schemes for underneath the I-59/20 overpass in Birmingham, AL.
Brett graduated from Vassar College, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies with both general and departmental honors, as well as Phi Beta Kappa honors.
Before joining BRV, Brett worked with the NYC Department of City Planning in the Urban Design Division, where he researched resiliency strategies for Sandy-affected neighborhoods. He has also worked with the City of Poughkeepsie Community Development office in the effort to revitalize Poughkeepsie's Main Street.
