BRV recommended strategies for making downtown Hartford more pedestrian friendly, with a special focus on drawing visitors to the Bushnell at three newly envisioned projects; the Bushnell East Gate entrance, the Bushnell Gardens road reclamation project, and the redesign of Tower Plaza- linking the headquarters of Travelers Insurance and the main entrance of the Wadsworth Atheneum. BRV suggested design changes and emphasized the importance of activating these projects with programming that would make it more inviting and attract visitors. BRV’s work was part of the ongoing iQuilt initiative.
