John Harding is the restaurant consultant to Bryant Park, the 34th Street Partnership and Biederman Redevelopment Ventures. This has involved consulting on developments and public space projects in New York and many cities across the US and Canada.
John has held Vice President positions in major restaurant companies including Restaurant Associates, The Patina Group and the worldwide food-service conglomerate The Compass Group.
His 35 years’ restaurant and food-service experience covers all aspects, including upscale, full-service restaurants, casual dining and food kiosks in high-visibility locations including Bryant Park, Herald Square, Rockefeller Center and Macy’s. The extensive experience he has acquired in food-service at museums and performing arts centers includes major pubic venues. He has also worked on cafeterias within large corporations and on sports events including the US Tennis Open and the Salt Lake Winter Olympics.
As a licensed real estate broker and Director, Restaurants with the retail real estate company of Robert K. Futterman, he represented landlords and restaurant tenants in leasing negotiations. His consulting business Urban Food Concepts advises developers of parks, office buildings, venues and public spaces regarding food and beverage operations.
